Daily Eats: Hell’s Kitchen New York

Hell's Kitchen Amish Market: David, Debbie and LyndaI spent the afternoon getting reacquainted with Hell’s Kitchen. HK is where I lived for 10 years. It was the best 10 years of my life. I can’t believe all the changes; so many new restaurants have opened, new Daily Eats to experience. So many are of Asian cuisine. It’s hard to believe it’s Hell’s Kitchen, but one consistency is my dear friends haven’t changed at all!

I ate at old favorites:
735 10 Avenue at 51 Street
New York, New York 10019
(212) 307-6410
Druids is an old stylish Irish Pub that serves up a very delicious cheeseburger. The lamb is always divine and the chocolate tort very yummy.

The Amish Market
731 9 Avenue
New York, New York 10019
(212) 245-2360
Over ten years ago the Amish Market was only a vegetable and fruit stand, now it’s on par with gourmet market. The Amish set up tables near the salad bar so that you can enjoy your meal and think about eating the delicious cakes you might want to try.

Wondee Siam II
792 9 Avenue
New York, New York 10019
(212) 459-9057
There are two Wondee’s in Hell’s Kitchen, both owned by the same person. I prefer the one on 9 Avenue at 54 Street. The environment is less crowed and more pleasant. Though I was disappointed in my meal. They are using Iceberg lettuce in the Thai salad instead of dark leafy green.
