Where can you get high on New York, enjoy a great view, sip a glass of wine, and take in some culture?
Did you know you could get a high on New York and a panoramic view of Manhattan from the top of the Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s roof top garden? Have a glass of wine, or perhaps an expresso? But whatever the view is amazing from this beautiful out door garden!
Open May to October daily, and until 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. Take your honey there for star gazing and romantic kissing. This is what makes New York so very special!
Sol LeWitt is the current sculpture show on the roof top garden. A must see!
Where is the underground New York eats? Yeah, sounds kind of scary but you have to trust me!
Try Grand Central Station dining concourse on the lower level. There you’ll find the best underground eats. Before you descend you have to marvel at the beautiful renovation of Grand Central Station! Don’t get sucked into the hustle and bustle of commuters take a second and look around and look up at the gorgeous ceiling. This is my New York!
A couple of my favorite places are located on the lower level: Dishes, where the smoothies are great and the soups spectacular. There’s Junior’s with the best New York cheesecake! And delicious deli sandwiches. And of course my personal favorite, because I know Doris and Phil from my crazy 80’s East Village days, is Two Boots pizza. The pizzas are fab and Po’ Boys enjoyable!
